Ann Hoewing is a gifted facilitator, executive coach and
organization consultant. She specializes in surfacing and
capturing substantive issues in the moment, enabling deeper
levels of engagement and greater effectiveness. Her work
has been international in scope and has included clients
in both public and private sectors.
Ms.
Hoewing has designed programs that empower organizations
to undertake the cultural reconstruction necessary for genuine
alignment with strategy and market focus. She is adept at
engaging the entire system to achieve the necessary momentum
for extensive change. This work has been done in profit
and non-profit settings as diverse as the Health company,
Guilford College, Unilever Holland, Homes for Black Children,
the US Army Medical Corps and Hastings Manufacturing.
She
is sought after for her expertise in conflict resolution
and reconciliation. This has included significant roles
in the Texas Risk Communication Project, the Dispute Resolution
Center Program, and most notably her work on the 3-year
Bosnia Diacom Project. The Bosnia project involved three
phases and culminated in a deployment seminar to transfer
new processes and approaches to indigenous counselors.
The
cornerstone of her expertise is based upon the community
building principles delineated by M. Scott Peck. Ms. Hoewing
had been actively involved in the Foundation for Community
Encouragement for more than a decade, most recently as Practice
Manager for Community Building in Organizations. She has
been instrumental in adapting the principles of community
to the needs of organizations and has designed numerous
interventions in this capacity. These initiatives have included
public seminars such as the Leadership Education Program
and workshops specifically designed for the Universities
of Michigan and Tennessee, as well as for the Community
Development Institute.
In the
early 90's as major downsizing initiatives were being carried
out, Ms. Hoewing worked with clients such as Compaq, Shell
and Exxon, both independently and through her affiliation
with Drake, Beam and Morin. She provided career counseling
and executive coaching, continuing those services in her
practice today.
Ms.
Hoewing did her undergraduate work at the University of
Iowa and received her master's degree from the University
of Texas. Further training has included the NLP Institute
where she also attained faculty status.
