Michael
F. Kipp is an author, consultant and experienced Chief Executive Officer
with impressive achievements in start-up and turnaround situations.
As a speaker and facilitator, his strengths are in the areas of strategy,
leadership development and the cultivation of business-to-business partnerships.
Over the last several years, he has worked with numerous clients throughout
the United States and in Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom.
While President of Signature, a venture capitalized specialty insurer, he took his firm from a "greenfield" operation to #2 in market share, subsequently negotiating its sale to a larger carrier. Directing marketing for Hospital Corporation of America, he initiated the first segmentation strategy, along with attendant promotional programs and customer tracking systems. As Deputy Commissioner for New York State he oversaw the deployment of programs to strengthen home rule against powerful opposition, serving as spokesperson to all constituency groups and managing decision support systems such as budget, research and information technology. Since then, he has focused on helping companies "define and secure their preferred future". He is also a principal in allianceart.com, an Internet start-up.
A member of the National Speaker's Association, Board Member for The Strategic Leadership Forum and member of the Organization Development Network, Mr. Kipp presents frequently at business and professional retreats, and on the platform of the American Management Association's Management Course for President's. Beyond AMA, he has keynoted meetings for TEC, YPO and a number of industry-specific associations. Mr. Kipp was a contributing editor of McGraw Hill's 1977 Handbook of Management Consulting, based on his participation in the development of IBM's Consulting Skills School. He has also written Seven Lessons in Strategy and The Accidental Leader. He is a graduate
of St. Anselm College where he was a champion intercollegiate debater,
holds a Master's from Syracuse University and a certification from
the Columbia University Advanced Program in Organization Development.
